Carolina Pulled Pork Crock Pot Recipe

This pulled pork crock pot recipe is easy to make and a great southern treat!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup stick butter or margarine (1 stick)
  • 2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 6 tablespoons dark brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 1/2 pounds pork (can be pork roast, boneless pork ribs, or boneless pork chops)

Instructions

  • Melt butter first in microwave or on stove top. Pour into the crock pot.
  • Add the vinegar, sugar, and spices to the crock pot and stir.
  • Trim the fat from the pork and add it to the crock pot.
  • Cook it for 5 hours or until tender on high heat. Flip over meat every hour if possible.
  • Shred it easily with a fork and serve by itself or on buns.
