1. Make It Work — Body

From crafting your own cardboard skull to cell models, Styrofoam joints, and a tongue from bubble wrap, this book has a lot of fun projects.

Some are simple experiments while others are detailed models with moving parts.

2. Make It Work — Plants

Make leaf prints, bark rubbings, grow your own plants, and make natural dyes from plants.

Most of the projects in Make It Work Plants are easy to make, so it is great for elementary school children.

In this book you can make a small working lighthouse, a circuit game, a Morse Code tapper, and magnetic boats among other things.

There are a lot of fun projects in Make It Work Electricity. Many of the projects are for an older child or would need adult help.

A lot of the items to make require wires, batteries, and light bulbs.

We used this book a lot for a unit study on insects when I homeschooled my kids.
