#1 Cling Wrap Christmas Game
For this game, you will need rolls of cling wrap, small prizes, and 2 dice.
Game Preparation
Start with a nicer prize in the middle and wrap a roll (or half roll) of cling wrap around small prizes.
Make sure to wrap it in all different directions to make it harder to unwrap.
As you wrap, you will add new prizes. It will look kind of like a ball when you are done wrapping it.
Small prizes can be candy, pens, post-it notes or anything small. We usually have a nicer prize at the end.
Note: it is best if you use a better brand of cling wrap because it will be stickier than the store brand.
Game Play
People sit in a circle, and one person starts off with the pair of dice. The dice roller continues to roll the dice until he/she get doubles.
The person sitting to the right of the dice roller unwraps the cling wrap ball and keeps any prizes that come out.
When the dice roller gets doubles, the person unwrapping has to stop and pass the ball to the person that was rolling the dice.
The dice get passed to the next person in the circle, and that person starts to try for doubles while the new person unwraps the ball.
This game continues until the cling wrap is all gone.
#2 A Christmas Carol Game
This is a downloadable game that you can print and play with as many people as you would like.
You are given song lyrics, and you have to write down what song the lyrics are from.
The person that gets the most right, wins!
You could award a prize to the winner.
You can download this game for free. We created two different versions (one color and one black and white).
If you’ve already signed up, you can go ahead and download all of these games in our resource library!
#3 A Christmas Character Game
This is another downloadable game that we created.
On one side of the paper is a list of Christmas movies and Christmas specials, and the other side has a list of characters.
You have to match the character to the movie. We tried to pick secondary characters to make it harder.
Whoever gets the most correct, wins a prize.
You can download this game for free in our resource library. It comes in a black and white version and a color version.
#4 Let’s Make a Deal Christmas Game
Let’s Make a Deal is a popular game show that can easily be played as a Christmas game.
Game Preparation
Wrap up a bunch of gifts in a variety of different-sized boxes.
This is a great game for using other gifts that you have received but don’t want.
There should be a few nicer gifts but also some duds. You don’t have to make it expensive.
You can also use homemade gifts, food (have some oddball foods like shrimp-flavored potato chips or ghost pepper salsa), gag gifts, or anything else you can think of.
Make sure you have enough gifts for everyone in your group to play.
Have one person (probably the person who knows what the gifts are) be the emcee.
Game Play
Start by picking a person to play the game.
Offer them a visible prize. An example would be — you can have this candy bar or trade it for what’s in box #1, 2, or 3 (which will be wrapped and sitting out for everyone to see).
Once the person either keeps the prize or chooses another, then go on to the next person.
You may want to have a few extra wrapped gifts in case you have an extra guest you weren’t expecting.
